Not appropriate for young children Dec 15, 2008

"just 4 keiki"
Although this is a nice display, it is not a good interactive toy for children. My 3-year-old tried to set up the wooden pieces and act out the story, but they kept falling over. The stable is just held together by the side slats, so it kept falling apart as well. I returned it and am getting the Fisher Price nativity instead.

Great first Nativity set May 04, 2009
By Melissa I opted for this Nativity set, for our 2-yr old son, over some others because while it was still obviously for kids, it wasn't too baby-ish and he should still like it in a few years. It is very cute and my son enjoyed playing with it. The faces are cute and it's one of the better ones I have seen for the price.

excellent, except the stable Nov 30, 2007
By Kindra I wanted a reasonably priced wood nativity set for my 1 year old daughter that was durable since she drops and chews on everything. The stable doesn't hold together well and is constantly collapsing. All the other characters are very durable and nice looking. We are happy with it over all. This is a nice set for young children with a good price.
Great Nativity Set for a young child! Jun 05, 2011
By AMS I selected this nativity set for my mother to give to my 4 year old daughter for Christmas. I wanted a set that my daughter could interact with and feel was truly hers and this fits the bill almost perfectly. The wooden pieces are a good size for little hands, painted nicely and stand on their own well (though because they are slim you can have a domino effect if they are knocked in to). My daughter looks forward to setting it up each holiday season and will re-arrange it almost daily to her liking. It's also helped her to really understand the key figures in the Christmas story. A young child like her would need help putting the manger structure together as you have to hold the three sides up while putting the roof on (which is what holds the whole thing together). Aside from that it's pretty much just the individual pieces. My only comment of frustration is that the angle of the roof doesn't exactly fit the angle of the bottom of the star, so when the star is placed on the roof as shown in the picture, it tends to fall/slide off easily if the manger is bumped by little hands playing with the set. For the price I feel the quality and value are well suited. I feel like this will last and hold up well through our two young children's holidays, well enough that it could be passed on to cousins or even their kids someday.

Creche Dec 13, 2008
By Sally J. Olson This is a wooden painted Nativity Set that can be used to reenact the Christmas story. The parts are well made and painted but all similar in style - difficult for children to tell who is who. It is also difficult for children to construct the stable, which is easy to knock down. I do believe it will be used for many years.
