More than just a base plate Jan 05, 2011

These are actual 2 1/2 by 5 inch bricks that can be used for ship decks, flat building roofs and more as well as a base plate. Very nice.

The base plates weren't what I was expecting. They are not flat like other bases, but they can't connect to other pieces, other than as a base and my grandson keeps trying to build with them.
