4Nice kit!  Mar 21, 2011
By T. R. Manning
This is a really nice dry-erase kit. The pens are a very nice quality, but comfortable to use because they are closer to a normal pen-size rather than the really thick pens. The spray works perfectly for cleaning up the mess that the markers leave in areas where you leave ink for an extended amount of time. The eraser is pretty cool because it has layers that you can peel away as they wear out, so it lasts a nice long time and is always a fresh surface. The only downside for me was that the eraser is pretty large and didn't fit too nicely in my desk drawer which is pretty shallow. I would definitely buy this set again.

3You'll need the cleaner for sure  Feb 16, 2012
By Caren H
I'll qualify the title right off the bat. These markers, particularly the blue and black, do leave that stain. As in the first time I used them on my white board. The stain was evident right after wiping it clean. I would hope that they would stain more so over time (as in leaving a list up for extended period of time), but these markers did darken up my white board on the first use, after I wiped it clean after a few minutes.

Markers: Low odor -- yes. The red and blue actually smelled the strongest of all (green, red, blue, and 2 blacks). However, the scent wasn't over powering like some markers can be. They were easy to use and did seem to resist downward pressure (the bane of dry erase markers for those who like their markers with a finer point.) They definitely felt like quality, something that I would expect from a Bic product.

Eraser: I liked that it was very cushiony. I didn't like that it fit oddly in my hand due to the beveled top. It glided easily over the board and a huge plus is that the eraser is refillable so when it gets too far gone, I can get a replacement.

Spray cleaner: By far the most valuable piece of this entire unit as the markers do stain sooner rather than later. It's a decent sized bottle that will last if you just have a small white board at home.

Overall, a nice all-in-one bundled kit for home or office use.

5Good markers, interesting eraser  Feb 23, 2012
By MagicSkip "magicskip"
I've recently used (and reviewed) a different brand (Quartet) of a similar package, so this Bic review is comparative to that one. The Bic markers are really nice to write with. They have a good grip, a nice feel in the hand, and a good point for clear writing. The Quartet markers have not-round caps, so they don't roll of the table, and a window so you can see how much ink is left - both nice features that the Bic markers could use. However, the Bic markers have a much nicer feel for writing.

The spray cleaner for the white board is simple and effective, no competitive advantage either way.

The Bic eraser is novel, though. It has a bigger frame, so it fits the hand nicely. The interesting part is that it has several layers of erasing surface. The layers are stacked, and make it difficult to push hard on the board at first. Also, the layers sort of slide or compress to the side a bit, so the outer edges of all the layers get "soiled" (dirty from the ink residue) at the same time, while only the initial layer is in use. When the first layer gets cruddy, the idea is to peel it off and use a new, clean layer of eraser. Great concept, but since the outer edges are already dirty, this doesn't work quite as well as Bic hoped. Still, I give them credit for trying, and the effort doesn't really take away from the functionality.

5Dry Erase Complete  Dec 27, 2011
By Spudman
If you use dry erase markers at home, work, or school, in addition to the markers you'll want an good eraser and some liquid cleaner. With this handy kit you'll get all the dry erase necessities in one convenient package.

I've always like the Bic dry erase markers with their color keyed, comfortable grils and thin writing tips. This kit includes five markers, two of which are the frequently used black. The eraser is nicely shaped for the hand and with the tear away sheets is the equivalent of having ten erasers. Not only does the eraser work well, but it is also refillable to make the plastic body last longer.

I don't use spray cleaner often, but occasionally there is a build up of residue on our white board or plastic overlay sheets that an eraser can't eliminate. A spritz of whiteboard cleaner followed by a wipe with a soft cloth or paper towel restores to board or plastic sheet to a pristine condition.

At our local office supply store a set of five markers might cost over five dollars. Getting the markers, an eraser, and the liquid cleaner for the current Amazon price is not a bad deal at all, and again very convenient.

5Great set at a good price  Dec 29, 2011
By J. Dassaro "Dassaro Imaging Photography"
We actually got this for our 4 year old daughter who uses a dry erase board on an easel. She goes through markers like crazy.

This set is very convenient if you need everything. You get five markers (2 of the black), an eraser, and dry erase board spray cleaner. The markers are what you expect- high quality, thin but strong tip, and comfortable, even for a 4 year old. The eraser I found to be better quality than the no name brand versions that typically cost more than $2.50 by itself. The erasers have 10 tear away felt pads you simply remove as they become worn or too dirty. The spray does not list ingredients- but it works even on stubborn marks on boards. Since ingredients are not listed and the manufacturer clearly has the poison control center number on the bottle, I would not let me 4 year old handle the bottle.

I highly recommend this set, especially since the colors are very strong. But, many people use (prefer) the wider marker tips. So just understand that if you order this kit, the marker tips are fine and not wide.
