A great game for 2.5 yr olds Jan 23, 2009
By KTBR I have been looking for a game (board game to be exact) that I could play with my 2 1/2 yr old AND my 5 yr old. So many of the games my 5 yr old can play are just too advanced for my daughter. When I saw this game I took a chance .. esp since she LOVES all of Eric Carle's book. We have played this game almost daily since we received it at Christmas. My 2 1/2 yr old LOVES it. We don't follow the exact rules with her. I put the tiles into 2 piles (one for her / one for me). We each take a turn finding the animal on the tile and placing it on the matching piece on the board. This is something my daughter can do and really enjoys it. We talk about the different colors of the animals and the different sounds they make as we play.
I wanted to share this information as I know so many people have younger children who want to play games just like their older siblings. Here is a game that you can all play together and have fun.
I'll def start buying this game as a bday present for our 2 yr old friends. It's so fun to see them play it. Enjoy!

Perfect for preschoolers Feb 24, 2008
By A. Davis My son received this for his 3rd birthday. It's a great family game and it ties into one of his favorite books, "Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?". The rules were easy to learn and we started playing right away. This game helps with memory, recognition, pronunciation of some more advanced words (like "macaroni penguin") and turn-taking. It is easy to enjoy and doesn't take too long (but isn't too short). Most importantly, my son likes to play this game and often pulls it out and wants to play with us.
I definitely would recommend this game to others with toddlers and/or preschool aged children. Especially to those who know/love Eric Carle's books.

Great preschool game Apr 10, 2007

I have a 4 year old with developmental delays and we got her this game to work on her matching skills. It's still a little bit beyond her abilities, but with a little help she did well. My 22 month old was also able to get involved with some help. This game is for ages 3 to 7. I think a 7 year old would be bored with it, but it's great for younger kids. The game goes quickly, which is perfect for short attention spans.

Easy for little ones to play Apr 14, 2008
By Jennifer Baker We bought this game for our son's 4th birthday. It's a very easy game to play so he caught on very quickly. However, it's just like any other memory type game and therefore, for adults, it can tend to get boring. The kids like it though.

Our Kids Love This Game Nov 24, 2007
By A. Haskiell Both our 3 and 6 year old love this game. We have the Brown Bear book so they relate it to the game. (Even without the book, they would like the game.) We are trying to get our 3 year old to learn his colors and this game helps with that. It also is a memory game. Also, does not take long so great for short attention spans!
