a little every day makes the difference Sep 06, 2004
By Eric Lay A great daily keep up workbook. It breaks down one year's math into small pieces and allow your child to do a little a day without worrying about missing anything. The standard test format makes your kid comfortable with the future real tests. Well organized good book.
To get ahead in math, my child does more than what this book offers. As a complement, if you have Internet at home, you should check out an incredible Houston community web site http://www.beestar.org. It provides quality free math exercises online every week. I signed up my daughter a year ago and we love it.

A nice summer refresher for homeschoolers Jun 06, 2009

We found the Daily Math Practice books to be a good summer review for our kids. We just happen to homeschool, but they would be equally valuable to anyone. They are not what I would consider comprehensive, but they do help keep things fresh.
Typically, my kids will do a week at a time. The problems are quick enough not to feel like a big assignment, so the complaints are kept to a minimum. Also, the manuals get progressively more challenging - Friday's work is usually harder than Monday's, and the end of the book is harder than the beginning. Check out a few sample pages (an option by the product), to get a better idea of the problem difficulty.
Please be kind enough to indicate if reviews are helpful.

Excellent 36-week progrssive program. Presented in standardized testing formats. Great daily practice for kids incorporating computation, word problems, graphing, and numbers. Good workbook.

Well written but too easy Jul 05, 2006
By Uccai Siravas This is a well written book. The problems are generally easy and hence gives a boost to student's self-confidence.

Excellent for kids who need a little boost! Jun 13, 2009
By Paula This series of workbooks has been invaluable for us. My daughter is mildly dyslexic, and really struggles in school. These workbooks are a wonderful resource to help give another look at what is being taught in school, in a different way. These books helps to reinforce ideas and curriculums by presenting the material in small snippets each day. I showed them to my daughters second grade teacher and she thought they were perfect for helping her keep up with what she learned over the summer, and also would give her the little extra boost that she needs before she begins third grade in the fall. I firmly believe that you cannot go wrong with this publisher (Evan-Moor) they really know what they are doing!!! -P
