I teach a 6th grade science class, and this product has given me a lot of great ideas for discussing chemical vs. physical changes, pressure, and volume.

4Great Little Book  Dec 18, 2007
By G. Giddens
My Grandson is using this book for a science project at school. He is in the seventh grade. It's a great little book for kids that age and older kids like grand dads. The book is full of fun things to do.

5Great Resource  Dec 02, 2011
By apoem "apoem"
This book is an excellent resource for teaching science. We have been making soda pop fr a school experiment and working through this book. There are a lot of ideas that you can use for science experiments and with a little bit of luck they can be turned into science projects. You would be surprised at how much science goes into a bottle of soda pop and how much fun you can have learning with soda.

I would say grade 5th is probably a good age for this book but it might be just a touch hard for a fifth grader. Sixth grade and 7th graders will probably be able to learn a lot and work through this book on their own.

Enjoy.
