Fun Assortment Feb 06, 2007
By EFB This is a really nice assortment of foods for pretend play. It is very durable and pretty realistic looking (some more than others). We have had the Sandwich Set from Learning Resources for many years now, and it has really stood the test of time. The Healthy Play Foods seems to be just as high quality and it really rounds out the variety in the kitchen, or grocery!
Expensive, but worth it. Jan 23, 2012

This play food is much more expensive than other pretend food products, but there's really no comparison in quality. This stuff looks great and lasts and lasts. Worth the money.

Get something else Feb 07, 2009
By Quo Primum I don't know what this set looked liked several years ago for the other reveiwer, but in my opinion it is not the same set - especially the fish looks entirely different now and very cheap. Indeed, I think they have cheapened the quality of the entire set, as it looks like crude plastic. It also emphasized the obsession with white refined flours and grains, with snow white bread, and white pasta noodles, ETC so if you eat whole grains in your home like we do, some of the "food" is going to look very different. This set is supposed to teach children the healthy foods pyramid at an early age - unfortunately this high refined carbohydrate emphasis is turning a great portion of the american population into diabetics. Too bad Drs. Sears, or Perricone, or Mercola etc. or the Weston Price Foundation weren't consulted on real healthy foods. Now that would a be cute playset.....
