Great Pegs and Peg Board Set Mar 16, 2011
By Amanda L. Davis We have Lauri Tall Stacker Pegs, and these are similar, but I like them better for younger babies. Their bigger tops make it easier to stack for my 1.5-year-old daughter. She just likes stacking them and taking them apart, but my 3-year-old enjoys stacking them by color and making patterns. This is a very good set for that. I think the Lauri pegs are better for older children, so it really depends on the age of your kids.

Great, durable toy! Feb 11, 2011

My 22 month old twins LOVE this toy. They love to connect them and stick them in the wholes on the board. Yesterday while doing this toy with one of my daughters she connected only the same colors! Purple on purple, blue on blue, etc. I was so proud! Great toy, provides lots of fun for me and my twins. Oh, and they're fine motor skills have really improved with this toy!

This Toy Has Multiple Uses Jul 08, 2008

It seems like everyday my nearly 3-year-old son finds a new way to play with this set. He used to just like putting the pegs in the holes and then poking them out from the other side. Then he started building towers by stacking the pegs. Then he said they were not towers but musical instruments, such as trumpets and flutes. Then he started filling all the holes to make a birthday cake with candles to blow out. Lately he likes to put the pegs together in patterns, e.g., blue, green, blue green... See what I mean?

More than just a toy Jul 17, 2009
By momentsmatter The pegboard and pegs were purchased for my mother who has had a stroke and lost most of her ability to function normally. When she was going through physical therapy they used pegs to help with her motor skills. she enjoyed doing this very much even though it was a challenge because of her disability. However, when finished she had a sense of accomplishment that she had done something for herself. this set of pegs and board has worked great for us. It arrived on time and I was kept informed on the status of when to expect its arrival. jas
Cognitive and fine motor Mar 30, 2012
By D. Garcia Hi. This toy is great. I work with mentally and physically disabled children K-5th and this toy is great for developing fine motor skills and cognitive development. Toy works great with both hand over hand assistance or independent play. Children can push the pegs into the board and learn colors also. Pegs can be stacked. Children that have difficulty grasping will benefit with this set as the pegs are perfect size. I have my children push the pegs in and then they must pull them out also. Great toy to have.
