It'll be a hit for any Tag-loving Toy Story fan! Dec 01, 2010
By ShannonAnna I'm guessing you know how the Tag system works if you're reading this, so I'm focusing the review on the content of the book rather than the system itself. Go to LeapFrog TAG Reading System - Green (or the purple one or Toy Story one) for device-specific reviews.
The storyline is pretty true to the movie, but for the sake of simplifying and condensing it into a shorter book, the only bad guy is Lotso the bear. The freaky little monkey is absent from this, as are Barbie & Ken. Unlike some of the omissions from other Tag books (like Gaston missing from the Beauty & the Beast one or the conflict with the one fairy and the thistles missing from Tinker Bell one), this one didn't bother my daughter at all, and I didn't mind because I didn't care for Barbie & Ken in the movie.
Leapfrog advertises the book as teaching these things: Problem solving, character development, story building, and memory skills.

Great Learning Tool w/Fun Games Jul 25, 2010
By shewenemma This book is great, like the other tag books, and it includes fun activities at the end that any child can do without help.

Great book! Jan 11, 2011
By D. Kadlec I purchased the Tag system for my daughter for Xmas and then ordered this book for her after the new year. She was very excited to see the package come for her and played with it right away. The story is the same story from the movie, just condensed, yet she still loved it. There are also a ton of games and every page has tons of extras on it. It took her two hours to get through the whole book and she still hadn't tried all of the features. She really loved it and learned how to spell some new words from it. Afterwards, she wrote a little story about Woody and his pals on her own and kept going back to the Tag when she didn't know how to spell certain words. It provided hours of fun and was exactly what we had hoped!
Grandkids love it! Jan 04, 2012
By L. Carbonaro Bought several Leap Frog Tag books for my granddaughters for Christmas, to add to their collection of other Tag books. They have had this system for about a year and they love it and never tire if it. They were very excited when they saw the books.
One of the best Tag Books! Nov 26, 2011
By J. Salvadore My 4 year old son Loves this book. He has had it for months and still plays with it regularly. One of the games in the book is to create your own story by clicking different options--that never gets old. n My 8 year old daughter is often snatching this book to play with so this book seems to appeal to a wide age range. Whether or not your child is a Toy Story fan, they will love this book.
