 Never Shuts Up Jun 11, 2010
My one year old carries these around like caveman clubs and hits stuff with them. The one that actually makes music takes FOREVER to turn off on its own. I can only tolerate giving him that one once in a while. Neither of us are huge fans of them. However, it is neat how the colors actually change and it does count. But it's still annoying.

One of the Maracas counts to 10, tells the colors of the rainbow, and makes songs in both English & Spanish while lighting up in the appropriate colors. When you shake the other maraca it makes sounds like beans are shaking around inside of it.

This is a great toy, a gift for 1 yr old birthday. Toddler loves it and parents have learned colors in Spanish. Perfect size for small hands, 2 volume controls, 3 options for fun sounds or colors, not too much flashing light. I'm sensitive to flashing lights, so was concerned at first, but the flashes are muted and not disturbing.

My granddaughter likes to play with the leapfrog learn & groove counting maracas. I am very happy with any leapfrog product.

Both of my children play with these. One is 2 years, and the other is 10 months. I like the different features, such as counting, colors, and just plain music. The only issue I have is with the volume. The second volume setting is very loud. My two-year-old has taken to placing it up to his ear. It is surprising how many toys are too loud for little ones' ears. Besides that, they are cute, fun toys.
