Cheaper than Single Lego Mini Figures Jun 17, 2011
By V. Canfield When you consider 16 Lego Mini Figures at 3.00 a piece will come up to $48, this isn't such a bad deal. For about $45 you get 22 cute figures, which comes out to about 2.00 each. And the come with some pretty cool pieces that go with each figure to make a small set. So, although you have to buy them all at once, they are more cost effective than individual Mini Figures from the store.

Great Variety. Great for Girls. Apr 17, 2011
By J. Ludlam My kids love the minifigures and creating their own adventures. However, my daughter just doesn't have the choices that my son has in the lego world. This set has great options for girls - princess/queen, mermaid, witches. The set was still perfect for my son - skeletons, pirates, etc.
Now she can play her own characters.
Some problems with the hair not staying on during play. But still worth it.

Best Part of Legos Aug 14, 2011
By GreenEyedLady1 I bought this set, as well as another Lego Figures Set, for my 6 year old son. He loves Legos already but seems to have the most fun with the people so I figured I would see if there was just a set of people I could get him. He was really excited to get all the parts and build the people. Each 'type' of person has a lot of cool little Lego accessories to enhance them. For example, the witch figure has a cool witch broom and a cauldron and spider. The mer-people have some seaweed and a little Lego crab. The skeleton pirates were a big hit with my son. It is a really cute set. We had lots of fun putting them all together and he loves playing with them.

Legos are an investment Jan 06, 2012

The first thing to note is that the 227 pieces listed in the product title is not 227 individual characters. That counts every small bit -- the witch hat and the loose snakes for the turbaned snake charmer. That said, there is a good variety of characters in the set. I prefer the mer-people myself, though the chimney-sweep has his charms.
The drawbacks are small. The first is that the packaging is weird. There were three bags, but parts from each scene were spread out between the different bags. It would have been desirable to have each individual scene in its own bag. As it is, it became a puzzle based on the picture of the box that we had to complete by pouring everything out on the table. The other issue is what seems to be priced into the Lego experience: they are expensive. I'd be interested in seeing the cost per ounce of Lego toy, but it is best not to think about. Legos are an investment; they're durable and will last lifetimes..

Bomb-diggety Dec 30, 2011
By Shannon Finlay My daughter decided that she wanted Legos for Christmas. We shopped and she noted that most Lego sets did not have many female characters. When we shopped on-line I discovered this toy. She approved it and then I bought it.
