I ordered these for my 6- and 4-year old boys. It was nice to receive several plates, including the larger one. I haven't seen the larger one in stores. You can find some of the 10X10 plates for $[...] at Toys R Us, but for the convenience of getting all plates in one order, it was okay to pay a few dollars more. The boys love them. They are a bit thin, but if you don't transport them around to many different places, they do the job just fine.

good value for the number of plates. I agree with all of the reviewers that these are very flimsy, but there is no other comparable product to purchase.

We took these base plates and glued and screwed them onto a cheap old table to make our own Lego table (and kept a spare to take along to grandmas.) Worked great. The kids like it when the Legos hold still.

I bought two of these packages and made a lego table for my nephews, they play with it all the time. it is amazing how much creativity it inspires in kids, green becomes a lawn or a park, blue the ocean or a lake, and grey for an airport, buildings, roads. The best thing is when used with a table as I did, it is t perfect child height. Large LEGO Base plates
