I really like these models. We are doing nature study with our kids for homeschool and these models are so much nicer than trying to handle the real thing. Especially since many of the early stages in the life cycle are hard to spot with the naked eye (or even a magnifying glass). This model is accurate as far as I can tell from books I have read. The pieces are big enough to see nice details and big enough for kids to handle with ease. Having a good book handy that covers the mealworm works best with the model as the life stages are written on the packaging only. So, if you aren't familiar with watch you are looking at you can get lost if you throw the package away. For the price this is really excellent and I have purchased pretty much all of the models due to how well they are constructed.
