Could be better Aug 10, 2008

Color and shapes are great...However, the downside is that the string's tips should be sealed in plastic long enough to slide through the whole shape. I use these to help with the dexterity of a special needs child and he gets very frustrated because he cant get the string through the hole like the ones he uses during his occupation therapy sessions. The end goes in and then you have to twist and push the string to get it through. But we still use them for shapes, colors, and stacking
My Macaw Likes them. Feb 12, 2012
By sarautu I got these for my macaw parrot to play with. He likes them. He can crack the square ones open, though, and those pose a pinching hazard. The holes in the middle are big enough I can string them up on small rope or wire. Macaws can learn shapes and colors, so these are good for that. The beads are also durable enough that they can be washed and reused. I'm glad I bought these. They are an appropriate size for his mouth. Since they are reusable, I think I've just bought a 10 year supply with one purchase: a very economical parrot toy.
