5Awesome Toy, Still Going After 12 Years  Nov 13, 2008
By Kay
I was so excited to see that they still make and sell this toy. I bought this toy for my son when he was 3. That was back in 1996 and now 12 years later, our 3rd & 4th child are still playing with the same toy. It has never been packed up, it has always been a favorite toy, and we have even been able to find accessory kits for it which have just added to the fun. Nieces and Nephews have also enjoyed playing with it while visiting. It has survived 12 years of just about every kind of play imaginable, it has been dropped down the stairs, brought outside, tossed in the toy box, etc. We have not had any real problems with the toy. One of the doors on the land rover popped off once, but it popped right back on and hasn't come off again. Also the red door that folds down on the side of the building popped off once, but that too, popped back on and has stayed in place. We have had years of enjoyment with this toy.

5Big hit in preschool class  Mar 16, 2009
By Rebecca J. OHagan
Our preschool class of 3 - 5 year olds were learning about space and astronauts. I purchased the Space Station, in addition to numerous other space related toys/puzzles/books, etc. This was by far the favorite item in the class. As a matter of fact, I decided to buy two of these because it was so popular. We didn't have any problems with durability and we have 16 children playing with this in our class. The Space Station is well worth the money if you would like to begin to teach your child, grandchild, or students about space exploration at a young age.

5My 3 year old son loves it!  Dec 30, 2009
By Tessa
We just got this toy for Christmas, and instantly it was a hit with my 3 yr old. I had also bought him a Lego Duplo Police Station set for Christmas and he is 100 percent more drawn to this space station than he is to his Duplo. He loves the Landrover and the Space Shuttle the most, and likes to make the guys ride in the back of the landrover. The set comes with 4 space guys - 2 red, and 2 green, and their heads and arms are movable. They have an opening in the bottom to accommodate them staying in place once you pop them onto the posts that are in each of the vehicles/shuttles. There is also a decompression chamber that has blue transparent "doors" that open upwards and you can stick the space guys in there. In the back there are red plastic sliding doors. It also has a manual "robotic" (as they call it) arm that opens and closes and my son loves to pick up cardboard and other stuff with it.

4Great for imagination but not well made  Apr 22, 2008
By Connor Holmes
Our two and four year old boys are enjoying this a great deal - the space theme has obvious appeal, and there are a lot of components allowing for new play options. Importantly, there are two space ships, so if you have two kids it reduces the potential for arguments. However, the quality is not great: 1. Thin plastic - our kids immediately wanted to stand on the roof (as they do with their Little People sets), only to have crackling sounds as the plastic splits. 2. The fit between pieces is not fantastic, eg. astronauts fall inside vehicles, requiring Big Fingered People to extract them. It seems safe, but I won't be surprised if there are pinching incidents from poor-fitting seams (nothing so far tho'). A little pricey for the quality but the kids are happy, so 4 stars!

4Awesome Toy - Horrible Quality  Apr 08, 2008
By Mrs. Jones
This toy was so cute, and my daughter was so excited about it, but almost immediatly it started to fall apart. It comes mostly put together, but there are a few pieces to snap in to place. Unfortunatly, they don't stay in place, they come apart with the slightest touch. The antenna broke off, the windows on the rover and shuttle don't stay closed. Overall, it is super cute, but really cheaply made.
