A review Oct 21, 2010
By Jo It also comes with a regular piece of lead which is very convenient. I wish the lead came out more fine instead of following the paper texture so much. This is a great pencil and the thickness isn't all that bad. It seems the lead shouldn't break as easily as small lead would. Not the best for shading so would not be suggested over good colored pencils but for block shading it's fine. The texture even on regular printer paper can be described as grainy so if you want it to be precise and to be viewed close up then it may be somewhat troublesome.

Good product for the price Oct 15, 2010
By R. Isabel Espinoza Herrera The colored leads don't have the same strength and color depth as the charcoal one that comes in the mechanical pencil, but how cool is to be able to change colors? besides you can just get new better leads. You will lose the cap and eraser soon if you're not careful, it slides off easily even when kept in a pencil case, so keep an eye on it. It's a good product if you conside the price(2.49). Good purchase

Cool Pencil Aug 26, 2010
By Jake The pencil itself is designed and built really well for the cheap piece of plastic that it is. The action is good and I doubt it will break any time soon simply because the lead and mechanism are so big. The eraser holder/tube stopper has a built in sharpener, which is a great touch, even though you've got to be careful with it so you don't snap the tip off the lead. The eraser is small and its cover will probably get lost soon. The colored leads are light - it's hard to get deep color on the page with most of them. Overall it's neat and a pretty good value for two fifty.

Amazing for students Feb 11, 2012
By Who cares what my name is? These are great because they fit in scripture pencils and they are very inexpensive compared to specific scripture pencil inserts. These colored leads are very helpful for marking textbooks because they do not bleed through to the other page.
