Fun for kids! Aug 28, 2010

We have been using the school zone preschool software for about 4 months now starting when my daughter turned 3. She loves that she gets to use the computer, and learned how to use the mouse very quickly. CD 1 is "Same or Different" and was pretty easy for her. I think she completed all the lessons in 2 or 3 sittings. Now she has almost finished CD 2 " Thinking Skills" and that was slightly more difficult, and she enjoyed it more. After they complete a few activities, they get to play a game, which keeps them interested. At this age I think parent involvement is necessary, at least until they get the hang of it. Overall I am very happy with this software, and am using it primarily to introduce her to computers and using a mouse. Academically, I think the paper workbook versions holds more content. So it depends on what you are looking for, but I would highly recommend this to 3-4 year olds who want to learn computer skills with an educational format.

This is a really great learning tool for Preschoolers. We use this on a Windows XP computer with no issues. I'd recommend this to anyone. If the child makes a mistake, they have the opportunity to go back and correct the error. One disc is a little more challenging, and works as a great stepping stone. We're moving on to the Kindergarten Edition!!

Do not get this even though it says compatible with XP and usually windows 7 is the same, it isn't here. Stay away. I wish they created a software update for newer computers.
