Yes! Finally a chalk that actually works! Jan 26, 2011
By James and Celi Back As an educator teaching primary children I have never been thrilled with Expo boards where little hands can get a hold of markers and write on my walls. Chalkboards are what I learned on and what I prefer. However, finding good quality chalk nowadays is quite the feat! I have frequented all types of different chalks. They were either too dusty, too breakable or didn't leave a distinct mark on the board, more of a faded line. After a couple of frustrating years trying to find one that actually writes well on a board I bought a box of Crayola Chalks. Crayola is a great brand for paints and crayons but they miss their mark with their chalk. It doesn't write well on the board at all. It squeaks, skips, and breaks very easily. Sargent Art was my last hope. It met all of my expectations. It is dustless, wonderful to write with (it practically glides from my fingers), the marks are thick and bright and doesn't break easily. It also wipes away from my board with great ease. Most other chalks take a few strong wipes to even start to vanish. This time let go of the name brand and trust Sargent Art. You won't be disappointed!

Great chalk, bad shipping package = broken chalk Apr 05, 2011
By Mercedes Bracero Overall this chalk is great. It writes smoothly, not completely dustless but not nearly as much dust as regular chalk. I would give it 5 stars but the shipping package was too big for the box of chalk with minimal protection. I could hear the box of chalk moving around the package before I opened it, when I opened the box of chalk about 1/3 of the pieces were broken. I hope the shipping packaging gets better, otherwise I'd probably buy from a large art supply store or website in the future.

WORK WELL Apr 03, 2011
By Yonette L. Isaacs The chalk work very well and my 2 year old can write (scribble) with it with ease, it always write and dont have hard spots like some other chalk that write sometimes and dont on other occasions. The box came with a lot of the chalk in it broken but not in tiny pieces mostly in half which is fine as my daughter can handle a half stick much better than a whole one.

Good chalk; poor shipping Oct 06, 2011
By Michael L Betts This chalk is listed as being compatible with the Commando chalk holder. It is. Fits perfectly. I measured the diameter as 3/8" exact. No taper. The quality seems good.
The box of chalk was packaged loosely in a larger box with a CD that I ordered. No cushioning at all! Most of the sticks were busted! Shame on the stock-picker or packer at Amazon.

A Million Little PIeces May 02, 2011
By G. J. Ward I had read reviews about this chalk arriving in many pieces but decided to take a chance based on the positive reviews of how well this chalk wrote. When the box arrived clearly the packaging was way too big and caused all the chalk to break in tiny pieces. None of them are big enough to use. I will now be purchasing another box of chalk at my local Staples and throwing this one out.
