I was surprised that the quality was not higher on this product. The set after so research could be bought online at Walmart for about 1/2 the price.

I received the Fiskars Kids' Scissors promptly and they are exactly what I want for my adult students. I teach fine beadwork design and these scissors are necessary for the fishing line that we use as thread. Other brands of kids' scissors are really inferior.

Pros:
- Great quality (construction and details) product, great brand (Fiskar).
- Blunt tip for child's safety
- Not dangerously sharp but cuts perfectly on papers, strings, even carboards. Blades are perfectly aligned. Actually useful for many household chores.
- Rust resistant
- Handles are well suited for little hands
Cons:
- A little pricy (but you can find it on sale for 99 cents a piece at certain times. If you do, grab a couple or more)

I have used a similar Fiskars model for various household and classroom purposes for years, but after buying this class pack to supply my Montessori classroom I am disappointed. The handles are loosely bonded to the blades so that the tips do not always meet fully. This is frustrating for young scissor apprentices as well as for more experienced users.
That said, I have not found a better model at this price. Also, the handles are nearly a perfect size and shape, so I would hesitate to recommend another pair. I would just like to see a better quality build from Fiskars.
